- Quality assurance of e-business applications
- “Test as a Service” scalable from the network
- Open source solution without expensive license fees
Setting up and operating flexible, stable and secure test environments – with “Test as a Service”, the T-Systems subsidiary, Multimedia Solutions, presents a solution which allows many Internet applications to be tested automatically. The service on offer is aimed at companies intending to carry out acceptance tests for a web application or portal solution without setting up their own testing infrastructure. T-Systems will set up the test scenario and take responsibility for the entire operation and its maintenance, support and extension. After a short introduction, users can themselves undertake adjustments or define new testing parameters.
“The solution is particularly suitable for the quality assurance of e-business applications like product configurators for the automotive industry, banks and insurance companies, energy suppliers and health care providers,” says Dr. Ferri Abolhassan, member of the Management Board of T-Systems and head of Systems Integration. An initial project with a vehicle manufacturer has already been successfully launched.
The solution is open source-based, and so there are no expensive license fees to pay. Unlike traditional systems, it offers companies not only a tool, but also a mature service package which can be scaled as desired. Thus programming the test process using a wiki-system is possible within a short period of time. That gives even less experienced users the chance to generate processes quickly. Complex and expensive software installations are not required.
Customers can access scalable services from the network. T-Systems hosts the servers and extends, maintains and supports the system. All the services comply with the ITIL standard. Thus a service desk guarantees competent support by telephone or e-mail at all times.
